A beautiful and rare Spanish Mountain Hunting Knife (Cuchillo de Monteria) or dagger in very good condition WITH it's elaborate scabbard, making it an even rarer find! This Spanish hunting knife has a spearpoint, or leaf, shaped double edged blade and central spine.  The blade has been etched, on both sides, with very intricate hunting scenes where a man with a rifle can be seen tracking and shooting game with his dog and bordered with foliage and arabesques decorations. The ricasso is marked FAB ca DE TOLEDO close to the S shaped steel crossguard.  The handle is made of a slightly curved section of red deer antler.  The scabbard is made of leather with silver fitting and also etched with intricate detailed decorations and of animals such as deer, hunting dogs and rabbits. This is a beautiful and rare Spanish hunting knife dated to the mid 18th century that is very hard to find with its original scabbard.

This unique tribal weapon is a headhunter's mandau knife set made and used by the Dayak people living in Borneo (Kalimantan in Indonesian), Indonesia.  This mandau knife was used in the headhunting ceremony, where after tribes attached other tribes, they gathered the heads of their enemies to be used in various festivities.  The Mandau knife is both a work of art in itself and a weapon. It consists of a long knife with a dear horn for the handle which is carved ornately and strands of hair (human?).  The scabbard is made of two pieces of wood bound together with rattan and other natural vegetation.  The smaller knife fitted to a long wooden stick which is also decorated, was used to take out the brain out of the skull and other soft tissue of the head as well as sharpening, carving and other general use. This beautiful gun grade metal sculpture of Joan of Arc in an art nouveau style shows in great detail her armor and chain of armor suit beneath and her beautiful face expression.  She is wearing a golden laurel, holding a sword in her right hand and spear in her left.  At the base her helmet and crossbow can be seen. A Caucasus kinjal dagger made of a bone handle, leather scabbard and decorated with beautiful silver ornaments.  This is a double edged dagger with a single groove on the blade.  The upper ring around the scabbard has three letters in possibly Georgian written on it.  In Georgia where it is parts of the men's national traditional costume this dagger is called a khanjali.  The kinjal was also a dagger used by many of the different Cossack groups spread throughout the Russian empire and especially in the Caucasus region. An antique Indian Nepalese Gurkha Kukri knife made with intricate metalwork of decorative beads and white metal (maybe silver) with a beautiful design of two angels, flowers and other shapes on the leather scabbard covered with red velvet.  The handle is made of yak or ox bone and is decorated as well.  metal filigree and bead decorated leather scabbards dating from the 19th century. The knives have quality hand forged single edge very sharp steel curved blades mounted with ox bone handles and accompanied with two smaller similar handled sharpening knives.  The scabbard shows very well the hand stitching and has two straps that would have connected this Gurkha kukri knife to a belt. The blade is in excellent condition and is marked: "Tempered Steel/Made In India" It is probably made in the late 19th century to early 20th century. The katar is a punch or push dagger that was used mainly in southern India.  In battle it was used as an armor piercing close combat weapon to punch through chain mail and in civilian life it was worn mainly by nobles who would hunt tigers with the katar (usually one in each hand) to prove their manhood and bravery. This katar has the characteristic V-shaped blade and H-shaped handles.  It is made of steel and silver on the scabbard which is usually hard to find.  It was made around the 1920's or a bit before. Or best offer This is a piece of Alan Shepard memorabilia that has not been seen for decades.  It is probably a one of a kind plaque commissioned and presented to astronaut and naval pilot Alan Shepard Jr. for his amazing accomplishment of being the first American and the second human after Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagerin to orbit the earth.  On May 5, 1961, Shepard piloted the Mercury-Redstone 3 mission and named his spacecraft, Mercury Spacecraft 7, Freedom 7. As a show of appreciation and admiration for his incredible achievement in the height of the Cold War and the start of the space race, the American Legion decided to present Alan Shepard with this plaque as an award.
