Gallic Warrior bronze sculpture by Hans Keck featuring a fighter (maybe gladiator) wearing a helmet, holding a shield in on his left arm and a short sword in his right hand. Very nice details of the warrior's lean physique. The base is made of marble and the sculpture is signed by the artist. Beautiful brownish patina.
The sword is glued on and will need attention.

Bronze sculpture of shot-put athlete by Julius Schmidt-Felling.
The sculpting style of the athlete throwing a metal ball seems to be more of an art deco than the earlier realistic style of the artist.
The signature of the artist Julius Schmidt-Felling is clearly marked on the base of the sculpture.
Made probably during the early 20th century when the beginnings of the art deco style started to gain a following.

African Azande Mambele Sickle Sword
African Azande Mambele sickle sword of the Democratic Republic of Congo. These African sickle swords have a wide variety of forms and are found over a wide area north-east Congo, among the Bandia, Benge, Mongelima, Nzakara, Zande, Boa and Mangbetu tribes. There is no consensus as to which form can be associated (if at all) with a particular group. This variety is commonly called Azande.

Ottoman traveling scribe's inkwell made of brass and copper. The lids of the inkwell and of the pens compartment are made of copper, the rest of the piece is made of brass and is decorated with some type of vegetation or vine. Turkish quill pen holder with inkwell.

Indian Madu Shields Set with Horns and Decorative Colorful Bucklers
Indian Madu shields set with horns and decorative colorful bucklers. These Madu were used defensively by Fakirs and Mendicants who were generally not allowed to carry traditional weapons. The shields, also known as Dhal, are intricately decorated and painted with a distinct four steel discs in the center of the shield. In the back the shield is fitted with woven straps covered in red cloth.
These Madu Dhal shields with Indian deer horns were probably made in the late 19th to early 20th century.
