Hermes holding an anchor sculpture made of spelter on a bronze base with commemorative plaque, artist Hans Muller signed and foundry marked K.K Kunst-Erzgiessereei, Wien.  The sculpture is on a wood base.  The sculpture is number 129, it is unknown out of how many.

Hermes, from Greek mythology the son of Zeus and Maia, considered the herald of the god, able to move quickly and freely between the worlds of the mortal and the divine aided by his winged sandals as can be seen in this sculpture.

Hermes is holding an anchor in one hand and on the other hand missing is the caduceus, staff is entwined by two serpents, sometimes surmounted by wings, symbolizing commerce and trade.

The plaque on the base reads: 1.9.1883 – 1.9.1907.  This sculpture of Hermes by Hans Muller was probably given as a retirement gift to someone that worked 24 years in a shipyard or shipping company since Hermes was not associated with anything naval yet the anchor is part of the art work.

The Knight of Verona is a gilded bronze sculpture of "Cangrande I della Scalla", an Italian nobleman, belonging to the della Scala family which ruled Verona from 1308 until 1387.  Della Scalla was an acclaimed warrior and autocrat becoming sole ruler of Verona in 1311 to his death in 1329.  The Knight of Verona statue features Cangrande with his helmet, armor and drawn sword on his horse which is draped in cloth on a marble base.  The sculpture was made by Hans Muller of Austria (1873-1937) and signed, famous for his bronze sculptures of famous individuals as well as everyday life.  The original statue is currently at the Castelvecchio castle, in Verona, Italy. Bell Commemorating The Scuttling of the WW1 German Fleet

A bronze silver plated bell commemorating the scuttling of the WW1 German fleet at Scapa Flow off the Scotland shore.  Rear German Admiral von Reuter, command of the fleet, ordered his soldiers to deliberately sink all ships rather then have the Allies use them on 21 June 1919.  His crews opened seacocks, torpedo tubes and portholes on the ships to flood them and once again hoisted their flags of the Imperial German Navy. The bell is engraved with the German iron cross and the words: The lord of hosts is with us (psalms 46:7). The full incident can be read at the Imperial War Museum website. Maine Memorial Brass Plaque commemorates the explosion and sinking of the ship in Havana harbor, Cuba, at 9:40 on the evening of February 15, 1898 causing the deaths of 250 out of 355 sailors on board.  It is this incident that triggered the Spanish-American war that spread from the Caribbean to the Philippines ending up in American dominance over those regions. An antique Indian Nepalese Gurkha Kukri knife made with intricate metalwork of decorative beads and white metal (maybe silver) with a beautiful design of two angels, flowers and other shapes on the leather scabbard covered with red velvet.  The handle is made of yak or ox bone and is decorated as well.  metal filigree and bead decorated leather scabbards dating from the 19th century. The knives have quality hand forged single edge very sharp steel curved blades mounted with ox bone handles and accompanied with two smaller similar handled sharpening knives.  The scabbard shows very well the hand stitching and has two straps that would have connected this Gurkha kukri knife to a belt. The blade is in excellent condition and is marked: "Tempered Steel/Made In India" It is probably made in the late 19th century to early 20th century.
