A Celtic Druid bronze sickle of the Hallstatt culture, the predominant Western and Central European culture during the local Bronze Age. The Hallstatt culture spread from Ireland to Germany and Austria, and introduced the Iron Age. This ancient bronze sickle was probably used in a ritual by a Druid dressed in white, that cut with it a mistletoe and let it fall on to a white piece of cloth. The ritual took place on the sixth night after the new moon.
