Israeli Military Surplus US M1 Helmets

Israeli military surplus US M1 helmets with steel outer and plastic inner cover with 3 point chinstrap.  The steel has normal signs of age and use with a WW2 era front seam.  These helmets were used by the Israel Defense Forces from 1948 when Israel was reestablished, but mainly from the early 1950’s to after the 1973 Yom Kippur war and were known in Israel as Kaplad, an abbreviation of steel helmet (Kasdat Plada), later to be replaced by kevlar helmets.  The main helmets used by the IDF during 1948 were the British M1917 Brodie steel helmets, which were used to mainly shield the head from upper shrapnel.  The M1 protected the head from the sides and neck, offering a better protection for the more modern battlefield that was not focused on trench warfare.  In 1976 the IDF started using to Orlite helmet.  These helmets have straps made by Rabintex and some seem to be original WW2.

An Israeli military surplus prismatic oil liquid compass which is a rare militaria military antique find used by the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) in its early years of activity, late 1940’s to 1950’s.  This Israeli military surplus prismatic oil liquid compass from IDF surplus is in good to very good condition and may be missing some of the liquid inside.  The compass was made in 1948-1949 by Goldberg, Tel-Aviv (stamped on the back).  It has a brass casing and comes with a compass pouch .  It has some air bubbles inside.

Israeli TRILUX L2A2 SUIT Scope With FN FAL L1A1 Dust Cover

Israeli TRILUX L2A2 SUIT scope with FN FAL L1A1 dust cover.  The SUIT sight is a 4× telescopic sight with tritium-powered illumination (not operational anymore due to its age), utilized at dusk or dawn. The full name is the L2A2 Sight Unit Infantry Trilux. The sight is not designed as a sniper sight, but was issued to designated marksmen. The sight was mounted on the FN FAL L1A1 Self-Loading Rifle by mainly British and commonwealth countries.  The sight has a lever to change between a short range mode (300 meters) and a long range mode (500 meters).  the SUIT has a single obelisk-shaped post protruding from the top edge of the sight so as not to obscure the target.  The radioactive tritium light source has to be replaced every 8–12 years, since it gradually loses its brightness due to radioactive decay.  This item is in very good condition from Israeli military surplus.

Israeli military M15 gas masks – Israeli military surplus M15 gas masks with the distinctive triangular eye lenses.  These Israeli M15 gas masks come with the type 80 NBC filter canister and drinking tube, all originally wrapped and sealed.  The filters would last approximately 8 hours in an NBC contaminated environment when they were new and before expiration.  It includes an integrated speech diaphragm as well as a side voice emitter to talk effectively with a phone.  The drinking tube attachment to the included straw which connects to a canteen.  The M15 gas mask is fully adjustable with five elastic straps that connect to a head harness for ultimate protection and comfort.  The triangular lenses are made out of impact-resistant plastic and are compatible with prescription lenses using a frame mount assembly.
