Schatz German naval clock made of brass. This maritime clock is a very accurate time piece and features an 8-day mainspring with included winding key. It has two 8-day mechanical movements; one for the clock and one for the chimes to mark the time-honored “Ship’s Bells” naval watch system. Bell rings properly on hour & half hour in standard nautical sequence of: 1 bell – 12:30, 2 bells 1:00, 3 bells – 1:30 and so on. 8 bells – 4:00, then it repeats every 4 hours. Back is marked: Aug. Schatz & Sohne Germany.
