Schatz German naval clock made of brass.  This maritime clock is a very accurate time piece and features an 8-day mainspring with included winding key.  It has two 8-day mechanical movements; one for the clock and one for the chimes to mark the time-honored “Ship’s Bells” naval watch system.  Bell rings properly on hour & half hour in standard nautical sequence of: 1 bell – 12:30, 2 bells 1:00, 3 bells – 1:30 and so on.  8 bells – 4:00, then it repeats every 4 hours.  Back is marked: Aug. Schatz & Sohne Germany.

A French made Chilean cavalry sabre sword made between 1891 and 1893.  The spine of the blade marked with the French arsenal, “Manufacture d’armes de Chatellerault” Followed by “JH,” the initials of Jacob Holtzer, the French government exporter.  The Chilean coat of arms, a star within a shield is stamped on the ricasso.  The guard bears unit markings, “2” over “4” and “2” over “100”.  This Chilean sabre made by Châtellerault Arms is in overall good condition. The Dahlgren bowie knife bayonet is a Civil War era Union US Navy bayonet designed by Admiral John Dahlgren for use with the Plymouth/Whitneyville Model M1861 Rifle, and made by the Ames Manufacturing Company of Chicopee Massachusetts.  The Dahlgren Bowie bayonet's new design's intention was to replace the then-standard sword length bayonet with a more maneuverable bayonet for Navy purposes such as close quarters combat in ships, boarding actions, shore landings, and others and for use as either a traditional bayonet or a hand held edged weapon bulky enough to defend against swords and the heavy rifles used at the time. This Dahlgren Navy bowie bayonet is one of only 1800 produced between 1861-1864, and this item is marked as produced in 1862. Comes with an unoriginal scabbard. Markings: On ricasso: Side 1: USN D.R 1862. "D.R" initials are of the military inspector at the Ames plant, Daniel Reynolds.
