Chris Reeve Project 1 Knife – USA Model

Original Chris Reeve Project 1 model knife made in the USA, serial number 36 on the blade stamped also with the CR.  The blade and handle are one piece of A2 steel, 55-57 RC and Kal-gard coated. On the Other side of the blade “Made in USA” is stamped.  The handle is hollow and the screw in butt cap is D655 Aluminum.  The leather scabbard is also marked with the CR logo.  Chris Reeve Project 1 knife made in the USA.  This is number 36 from the first 50 of this model.

World War Two USMC Medical Corpsman machete Bolo knife with USMC marked on the blade and scabbard marked: "USMC / BOYT / 44".  The blade is in good condition with some staining and other blemishes due to its age.  The Boyt scabbard is in very good condition with some slight normal aging.  The machete like bolo knife was used by the Medical Corpsman Marines in the South Pacific as a simple and tough knife for clearing brush and cutting branches to ease the movement of stretchers to and from the battlefields.  The simple made design with wood grips riveted to the tang of the wide blade that is formed proved to be a good hand-to-hand combat knife fighting the Japanese soldiers in the thick jungles of the area.   Dimensions: Length with scabbard: 44 cm (17.32 inches) Length without scabbard: 42 cm (16.53 inches)

Genuine WW2 Theatre knife, possibly British with a bowie type blade and tang wrapped with a cord and glued with a kind of resin.  Theatre knives are a type of trench art fighting knives made for battle from parts of artillery shrapnel, downed plane parts, exploded armored vehicles and what ever metal and steel can be found around the battle field. This theatre knife is probably from World War 2, most likely British due to the motto on the blade "Your Courage Will Bring Us Victory".  The tip of the pommel has a crown and the initials GP. The scabbard is made of canvas and looks like it was used in Israel due to the Hebrew name written behind it which is barely readable רון כרמי (Ron Carmi). An antique Indian Nepalese Gurkha Kukri knife made with intricate metalwork of decorative beads and white metal (maybe silver) with a beautiful design of two angels, flowers and other shapes on the leather scabbard covered with red velvet.  The handle is made of yak or ox bone and is decorated as well.  metal filigree and bead decorated leather scabbards dating from the 19th century. The knives have quality hand forged single edge very sharp steel curved blades mounted with ox bone handles and accompanied with two smaller similar handled sharpening knives.  The scabbard shows very well the hand stitching and has two straps that would have connected this Gurkha kukri knife to a belt. The blade is in excellent condition and is marked: "Tempered Steel/Made In India" It is probably made in the late 19th century to early 20th century.
