Chris Reeve Project 1 Knife – USA Model

Original Chris Reeve Project 1 model knife made in the USA, serial number 36 on the blade stamped also with the CR.  The blade and handle are one piece of A2 steel, 55-57 RC and Kal-gard coated. On the Other side of the blade “Made in USA” is stamped.  The handle is hollow and the screw in butt cap is D655 Aluminum.  The leather scabbard is also marked with the CR logo.  Chris Reeve Project 1 knife made in the USA.  This is number 36 from the first 50 of this model.

Genuine WW2 Theatre knife, possibly British with a bowie type blade and tang wrapped with a cord and glued with a kind of resin.  Theatre knives are a type of trench art fighting knives made for battle from parts of artillery shrapnel, downed plane parts, exploded armored vehicles and what ever metal and steel can be found around the battle field. This theatre knife is probably from World War 2, most likely British due to the motto on the blade "Your Courage Will Bring Us Victory".  The tip of the pommel has a crown and the initials GP. The scabbard is made of canvas and looks like it was used in Israel due to the Hebrew name written behind it which is barely readable רון כרמי (Ron Carmi). World War Two USMC Medical Corpsman machete Bolo knife with USMC marked on the blade and scabbard marked: "USMC / BOYT / 44".  The blade is in good condition with some staining and other blemishes due to its age.  The Boyt scabbard is in very good condition with some slight normal aging.  The machete like bolo knife was used by the Medical Corpsman Marines in the South Pacific as a simple and tough knife for clearing brush and cutting branches to ease the movement of stretchers to and from the battlefields.  The simple made design with wood grips riveted to the tang of the wide blade that is formed proved to be a good hand-to-hand combat knife fighting the Japanese soldiers in the thick jungles of the area.   Dimensions: Length with scabbard: 44 cm (17.32 inches) Length without scabbard: 42 cm (16.53 inches)

The Dahlgren bowie knife bayonet is a Civil War era Union US Navy bayonet designed by Admiral John Dahlgren for use with the Plymouth/Whitneyville Model M1861 Rifle, and made by the Ames Manufacturing Company of Chicopee Massachusetts.  The Dahlgren Bowie bayonet's new design's intention was to replace the then-standard sword length bayonet with a more maneuverable bayonet for Navy purposes such as close quarters combat in ships, boarding actions, shore landings, and others and for use as either a traditional bayonet or a hand held edged weapon bulky enough to defend against swords and the heavy rifles used at the time. This Dahlgren Navy bowie bayonet is one of only 1800 produced between 1861-1864, and this item is marked as produced in 1862. Comes with an unoriginal scabbard. Markings: On ricasso: Side 1: USN D.R 1862. "D.R" initials are of the military inspector at the Ames plant, Daniel Reynolds. A Caucasus kinjal dagger made of a bone handle, leather scabbard and decorated with beautiful silver ornaments.  This is a double edged dagger with a single groove on the blade.  The upper ring around the scabbard has three letters in possibly Georgian written on it.  In Georgia where it is parts of the men's national traditional costume this dagger is called a khanjali.  The kinjal was also a dagger used by many of the different Cossack groups spread throughout the Russian empire and especially in the Caucasus region. Or best offer This is a piece of Alan Shepard memorabilia that has not been seen for decades.  It is probably a one of a kind plaque commissioned and presented to astronaut and naval pilot Alan Shepard Jr. for his amazing accomplishment of being the first American and the second human after Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagerin to orbit the earth.  On May 5, 1961, Shepard piloted the Mercury-Redstone 3 mission and named his spacecraft, Mercury Spacecraft 7, Freedom 7. As a show of appreciation and admiration for his incredible achievement in the height of the Cold War and the start of the space race, the American Legion decided to present Alan Shepard with this plaque as an award. An antique Indian Nepalese Gurkha Kukri knife made with intricate metalwork of decorative beads and white metal (maybe silver) with a beautiful design of two angels, flowers and other shapes on the leather scabbard covered with red velvet.  The handle is made of yak or ox bone and is decorated as well.  metal filigree and bead decorated leather scabbards dating from the 19th century. The knives have quality hand forged single edge very sharp steel curved blades mounted with ox bone handles and accompanied with two smaller similar handled sharpening knives.  The scabbard shows very well the hand stitching and has two straps that would have connected this Gurkha kukri knife to a belt. The blade is in excellent condition and is marked: "Tempered Steel/Made In India" It is probably made in the late 19th century to early 20th century.
