Aviator Pilot Holding A Propeller Metal Sculpture

An aviator or pilot from the 1930’s-1940’s sculpture made of metal or spelter in excellent condition.  The statue shows the airman of the British RAF holding his flying gloves in one hand and a two bladed propeller in the other, wearing his flight suit, cap, goggles and looking up to the sky as if viewing his fellow pilots flying their planes on the way to their next mission or training exercise.  This is NOT the same aviator sculpture that has his head hinge back to reveal a removable petrol lighter.

A beautiful gift to aviation memorabilia lovers, airforce veterans, pilots and airmen in general.

Joan of Arc or Jeanne d'Arc in French (1412 – 30 May 1431) is considered a French heroine for her role in the Hundred Years war against the English occupation of France.  Joan of Arc was captured and burnt at the stake by the English.  She was later canonized by the Roman Catholic church as a saint. This beautiful gun grade metal sculpture of Joan of Arc in an art nouveau style shows in great detail her armor and chain of armor suit beneath and her beautiful face expression.  She is wearing a golden laurel, holding a sword in her right hand and spear in her left.  At the base her helmet and crossbow can be seen. Maine Memorial Brass Plaque commemorates the explosion and sinking of the ship in Havana harbor, Cuba, at 9:40 on the evening of February 15, 1898 causing the deaths of 250 out of 355 sailors on board.  It is this incident that triggered the Spanish-American war that spread from the Caribbean to the Philippines ending up in American dominance over those regions. USS Maine memorial brass plaque features the following writing and markings: "In Memoriam / U.S.S. Maine / Destroyed in Havana Harbor / February 15th 1898 / This tablet is cast from metal recovered from the U.S.S. Maine." The lower right corner is stamped "© C. KECK Sc. / 1913 Cast By / Jno. Deep dive knife by Siebe Gorman & Company London 1910.  This specialty knife is made of brass or bronze with a bakelite hilt used by British deep sea divers.  Made by the Siebe Gorman company that specialized in maritime engineering and diving equipment such as diving helmets, breathing apparatuses and others. This rare deep sea diver knife is in very good condition, showing the crest of the manufacturer which not all models feature.  The other side of the hilt read: "Siebe Gorman and Co. Ltd.
