Mountain Man By Remington cast originally in 1903 as this is a reproduction.   The Mountain Man, sometimes referred to as The Trapper, is a beautiful bronze sculpture depicting a fur trapper riding his horse down a steep rocky mountain slope, leaning back in the saddle, easing-up on the reigns and trusting his horse to make the right steps down the treacherous mountain slope. Frederic Remington (1861-1909) was a sculpture, illustrator and painter that specialized in portraying the American Old West depicting cowboys, settlers, native American tribes, soldiers and wildlife in mainly action scenes.
