These original Israeli Dustar knives are of Model 1 Arad, the first models to be produced by Alex Shamgar and Meir Aziz.  The Dustar knives are made of D2 steel - RC 56-57 making them relatively easy to sharpen.  The Israeli Dustar knives that we have available are of a limited edition made for some of the most elite military units in the IDF: Sayeret Matkal Dustar knife - The IDF's elite special reconnaissance unit, modeled after the British SAS and the US Delta Force. British Light Infantry Gunpowder Horn

An antique British light infantry gunpowder horn made of ox or cow.  It is estimated to be from the 18th century, all seem to be original. There are initial T.P. carved or branded into the horn.  Original lid and cap on the ends of the horn. The emblem is of the British light infantry regiment showing the ribbon and tassels connected to a gunpowder horn.    

Decorative Indonesian Kris Dagger

An Indonesian kris dagger with golden decorations and jem-like stones in the hilt-to-blade section.  The wood is beautiful and the typical wavy kris blade shows the iron forging techniques making these daggers so famous.  We suspect that the blade is much older than the hilt and scabbard, probably from the early to mid 20th century. Schatz German naval clock made of brass.  This maritime clock is a very accurate time piece and features an 8-day mainspring with included winding key.  It has two 8-day mechanical movements; one for the clock and one for the chimes to mark the time-honored "Ship's Bells" naval watch system.  Bell rings properly on hour & half hour in standard nautical sequence of: 1 bell – 12:30, 2 bells 1:00, 3 bells – 1:30 and so on.  8 bells – 4:00, then it repeats every 4 hours.  Back is marked: Aug. WWII Imperial Japanese Naval Officer’s Dirk

WWII Imperial Japanese Naval officer dirk of early 1883 pattern. These dirks were worn by all Navy commissioned officers.  This example is of later wartime construction with machine made blade, no Habaki or lock mechanism and a grip with double brass wire wrapped over imitation ray skin (the early dirks had real shark or ray skin).  The grip has the brass cherry blossom flower menuki mon symbolizing the emperor on both sides securing the mekugi (the small wooden peg that holds the grip to the blade hilt).  The saya (scabbard) is wood covered in leather with a decorative seam down the reverse.  The pommel is nicely ornate and the cross guard is wave shaped. This late WWII Imperial Japanese Naval officer dirk is in good condition and shows regular age wear.

A wood framed three pieced plaque depicting three major periods of the history of Portugal. The three Portuguese history eras depicted are from left to right: Portuguese interregnum crisis of 1383–1385 (Crise De 1383-1385) was a civil war in Portuguese history during which no crowned king of Portugal reigned. The interregnum (a period of discontinuity or "gap" in rule of the land or country) began when King Ferdinand I died without a male heir and ended when King John I was crowned in 1385 after his victory during the Battle of Aljubarrota. Portuguese Restoration War 1640–1668 - was the war between Portugal and Spain that began with the Portuguese revolution of 1640 and ended with the Treaty of Lisbon in 1668, bringing a formal end to the Iberian Union.  The Iberian Union was the dynastic union of the Kingdoms of Castile and Aragon of Spain and the Kingdom of Portugal under the Castilian Crown that existed between 1580 and 1640. Reconquista Crista 711-1492 - the reconstruction period in Iberian history in which the Christian kingdoms of Spain and Portugal fought the invading Muslim Umayyad empire of Arab-Berber forces.  After the surrender of Granada in January 1492, the entire Iberian peninsula was controlled by Christian rulers.
