A German brass plaque featuring a crew of three soldiers operating the Schwarzlose or Maschinengewehr 08/MG 08 Machine Gun. The plaque in German: Erinnerung a.d. Dienstzeit translating to "In memory of the years in service" and dated 1935. The Schwarzlose M. 7 was designed by the Prussian firearms designer Andreas Wilhelm Schwarzlose in 1904, and used in service between 1908 to a bit after 1945.  The a Schwarzlose is a belt-fed machine gun, usually mounted on a tripod, and used by the Austro-Hungarian empire and later Germany, Italy, Greece, Netherlands, Sweden, Russia and in some colonial conflicts. Bronze Plaque of Liberation of Prague by Frantisek Bilek

The liberation of Prague is depicted here in this bronze plaque by Frantisek Bilek (1907-1985).  The liberation started as a Czechoslovak uprising against the occupying Nazi German regime between the 5th to 9th of May 1945 and later joined by the Soviet Red Army.  The plaque shows citizens and Russian soldiers fighting their way to Prague Castle which is visible in the horizon.  The date of 5-9V 1945 is on the bottom right corner (V for the fifth month). Trench Art Knife From WW1 1914

A trench art knife or letter opener made in 1914 probably during the siege of the fortified city of Namur in Belgium between August 20-25, 1914, when German and Austro-Hungarian forces fought and defeated the defending Belgium and French forces.  Like many other trench art items this knife is made of an artillery shell fragment which can be seen from the ridges in the handle.  On one side of the ricasso "1914" is etched and on the other side "Namur" is etched, hence associating this trench art knife to the time period of the siege. The knife length is 17 cm (6.70 inches).

A true collectors item for militaria collectors focusing on Israeli special forces or Shayetet 13 (Flotilla 13) to be more specific.  Shayetet 13 is a special operations unit in the Israeli Navy similar in scope of operations to the US Navy SEALS and Britain's Special Boat Service.  This wrist watch was given to graduates of the grueling training course in the 1980's.  The watch is both digital and analog.  The watch's face features the unit's logo which is the embodiment of the Shayetet 13 motto: As the bat emerges from the darkness, As the blade cuts through with silence, As the grenade smashes in rage. Hermes Holding an Anchor Sculpture By Hans Muller

Hermes holding an anchor sculpture made of spelter on a bronze base with commemorative plaque, artist Hans Muller signed and foundry marked K.K Kunst-Erzgiessereei, Wien.  The sculpture is on a wood base.  The sculpture is number 129, it is unknown out of how many. Hermes, from Greek mythology the son of Zeus and Maia, considered the herald of the god, able to move quickly and freely between the worlds of the mortal and the divine aided by his winged sandals as can be seen in this sculpture. Hermes is holding an anchor in one hand and on the other hand missing is the caduceus, staff is entwined by two serpents, sometimes surmounted by wings, symbolizing commerce and trade. The plaque on the base reads: 1.9.1883 - 1.9.1907.  This sculpture of Hermes by Hans Muller was probably given as a retirement gift to someone that worked 24 years in a shipyard or shipping company since Hermes was not associated with anything naval yet the anchor is part of the art work. An ancient archeological artifact of a cast bronze Celtic Druid ritual sickle from the Hallstatt Culture, from about 800-400 BC.  Original dark green patina, earthen encrustation, a well defined blade and in tact knob where it would be affixed to a handle.  A very interesting piece of Celtic and European history in general. Length: about 20 cm (7.87 inches)    

Nepalese Kukri Knife With Bone Handle

Nepalese Kukri also pronounced khukri or khukuri knife with a white bone handle, possibly Yak bone, maybe ivory, with a decorative scabbard with turquoise beads and two small sharpening knives.  This Nepalese Gurkha Kukri knife is in very good condition with decorations on the blade and the scabbard is decorated with coral and turquoise beads and wire on hammered copper over leather.  The knives are offered in very good original condition with normal wear due to its age.  The leather scabbard has dried with age and can be restored with special oils to return some moisture and flexability.  Only one or two turquoise beads are missing and can be easily replaced.  Judging by its age and style this Nepalese kuri knife is probably from the mid 20th century and having it in this condition with its two matching small sharpening knives is a rare find for those collecting antique edged weapons. Length: 45 cm (17.71 inches) with scabbard, 43 cm (16.92 inches) without scabbard.
