The Dahlgren bowie knife bayonet is a Civil War era Union US Navy bayonet designed by Admiral John Dahlgren for use with the Plymouth/Whitneyville Model M1861 Rifle, and made by the Ames Manufacturing Company of Chicopee Massachusetts.  The Dahlgren Bowie bayonet's new design's intention was to replace the then-standard sword length bayonet with a more maneuverable bayonet for Navy purposes such as close quarters combat in ships, boarding actions, shore landings, and others and for use as either a traditional bayonet or a hand held edged weapon bulky enough to defend against swords and the heavy rifles used at the time. This Dahlgren Navy bowie bayonet is one of only 1800 produced between 1861-1864, and this item is marked as produced in 1862. Comes with an unoriginal scabbard. Markings: On ricasso: Side 1: USN D.R 1862. "D.R" initials are of the military inspector at the Ames plant, Daniel Reynolds. An authentic and original Polish cavalry officer's sabre 1921 pattern, Polish Uhlan (light cavalry) Szabla WZ. 1921.  This Polish cavalry sabre was designed after the British pattern 1796 light cavalry sabre.  It is beautifully made with an engraving on the blade with the Polish eagle and the motto "Honor i Ojczyzna" - Honor and Fatherland.  This Polish sabre is made and signed on the ricasso by one of the well known swordsmiths of the time Gabriel Borowski of Warsaw. - Blade: curved single-edged blade with one, wide fuller both sides. - Hilt: brass guard with quillons, pommel and back piece. Wooden grip is covered with leather and wrapped with brass wire.  The leather on thr hilt is with minor marks, brass parts are in very good condition with light patina. - Scabbard: original scabbard of this sword made of iron and nickeled with two rings and chape. - The condition of this Polish cavalry sabre pattern 1921 is in very good condition. L’Armurier or The Arm’s Maker by Henryk Kossowski Jr.

L'Armurier or The Arm's Maker by Henryk Kossowski Jr. is a beautiful French bronze sculpture depicting a swordsmith inspecting his work and wondering about its quality.  The statue is beautifully cast and detailed as were many of the works done at the Siot-Decauville and sculpted by Henryk Kossowski Jr. who was active during the years of 1880-1915.  This swordsmith sculpture is featured in the book “Bronzes: Sculptors and Founders, Vol. II“ on page 379, where it is identified as “L'Armurier“ or “The Arm's Maker“. It is bronze with golden gild and shown with the edge of his work bench and clamp beside his leg.  The sword itself is in tact, which in many cases is either broken or missing. The sculpture is signed by the artist in the base "H. Kossowski" and marked by the Siot-Decauville foundry "II 251". Spanish Hunting Spear Knife Made in Toledo

A beautiful and rare Spanish Mountain Hunting Knife (Cuchillo de Monteria) or dagger in very good condition WITH it's elaborate scabbard, making it an even rarer find! This Spanish hunting knife has a spearpoint, or leaf, shaped double edged blade and central spine.  The blade has been etched, on both sides, with very intricate hunting scenes where a man with a rifle can be seen tracking and shooting game with his dog and bordered with foliage and arabesques decorations. The ricasso is marked FAB ca DE TOLEDO close to the S shaped steel crossguard.  The handle is made of a slightly curved section of red deer antler.  The scabbard is made of leather with silver fitting and also etched with intricate detailed decorations and of animals such as deer, hunting dogs and rabbits. This is a beautiful and rare Spanish hunting knife dated to the mid 18th century that is very hard to find with its original scabbard.

This beautiful gun grade metal sculpture of Joan of Arc in an art nouveau style shows in great detail her armor and chain of armor suit beneath and her beautiful face expression.  She is wearing a golden laurel, holding a sword in her right hand and spear in her left.  At the base her helmet and crossbow can be seen. Original Chris Reeve Shadow 1 model knife made in South Africa, serial number 255 on the blade stamped also with the CR, made in 4.2.1989.  The blade and handle are one piece of A2 steel, 55-57 RC and Kal-gard coated. Original Rare Spanish M1858 Artillery Bayonet Made in Toledo Dated 1864

Original and rare Spanish machete-bayonet for artilleryman and engineering soldier, model 1858, made in Toledo in 1864.  This M1858 Spanish bayonet is in very good to excellent condition and is considered one of the rarest machete bayonets in the world.  The hilt is made of brass and on the pommel a bomb with flames is clearly viewed.  The blade is clean and shiny and in excellent condition for its age with small blemishes.  The ricasso shows the year of manufacturing AÑO DE 1864 engraved on one side. On the other side FABRICA DE TOLEDO (made in Toledo).  Serial number 1284 on the upper grip near the guard.  Unique among Spanish bayonets, and perhaps unique in the world, this Spanish M1858 pattern featured a socket and locking ring mounted on the guard of the bayonet itself to fit the Berdan Artillery & Engineer Short Rifle M1858/67 (Carabina para Artilleria e Ingenieros Modelo 1867). Original US Rare M1905/06 Experimental Patton Saber by Ames Sword Co.

Original US 1905/1906 experimental saber by Ames Sword Company in Massachusetts.  The bird-head like grip allowed for a better grip especially while riding.  A.S. Co., ordnance bomb and 1906 on one side of the ricasso and US on the other side.  The grip is made of sharkskin with the wires wrapped around.  A bit of damage on the bottom of the grip where a small piece of sharkskin has been taken off.  The blade is in good condition with blemishes from age since this piece is more than 100 years old.  The scabbard is probably made of pig skin and has shrunk over time exposing the wooden pieces constructing the scabbard.  The fact that this sword comes with its scabbard is very rare.
