Gaulois by Adolphe Jean Lavergne bronze sculpture of ancient Celtic warrior. This bronze sculpture of a Gaul warrior, features the Celtic fighter with his helmet, holding his sword in one hand and a leaf in another, axe hanging from his belt and a fur garment covering his groin. A beautiful depiction of this ancient French Celtic warrior by French sculptor Adolphe Jean Lavergne (1852-1901). This warrior might be a depiction of Vercingetorix (80 – 46 BC) the Gallic king and chieftain of the Arverni tribe who united the Gauls in a failed revolt against Roman forces during the last phase of Julius Caesar's Gallic Wars. After surrendering to Caesar and spending almost six years in prison, he was executed in Rome.

Nepalese Kukri Knife With Bone Handle
Nepalese Kukri also pronounced khukri or khukuri knife with a white bone handle, possibly Yak bone, maybe ivory, with a decorative scabbard with turquoise beads and two small sharpening knives. This Nepalese Gurkha Kukri knife is in very good condition with decorations on the blade and the scabbard is decorated with coral and turquoise beads and wire on hammered copper over leather. The knives are offered in very good original condition with normal wear due to its age. The leather scabbard has dried with age and can be restored with special oils to return some moisture and flexability. Only one or two turquoise beads are missing and can be easily replaced. Judging by its age and style this Nepalese kuri knife is probably from the mid 20th century and having it in this condition with its two matching small sharpening knives is a rare find for those collecting antique edged weapons.

Charles Lindbergh Bust Lucky Lindy-Bank Of Grannis & Tolton 1928
A metal bust statue of Charles Lindbergh with a flight cap and goggles and wearing a leather flight jacket used in the 1920's. This Charles Lindbergh bust sculpture is made of cast metal with a bronze finish. It was manufactured by the Grannis & Tolton Company of Detroit, Michigan in the United States. It is marked in raised script on the back: "Lindy-Bank copy by G&T 1928" and the signature of the artist Nison Tregor. The bust is on a marble-like (maybe onyx) base in green and black colors.

Laotian Woman Bronze Head Bust by Thanh Le NGuyen
A unique item from the Vietnam war era featuring a Laotian woman bronze bust sculpture made by Nguyen Thanh Le that was presented as a gift in September 1969 to Brigadier General Homer K. Hansen by Major General Tran Van Minh, commander of the VNAF (South Vietnam Air Force). Nguyen Thanh Le was a Vietnamese artisan, graduate of the Bien Hoa Fine Arts School, who sold her sculptures and other works of art to mainly military personnel from a shop on Thu Do Street in the former Saigon, now Ho Chi Minh City. These works later found their way to the US and France as military personnel went back home.
This Laotian woman bust of a young woman shows her beautiful features, unique hair style and ornate earrings.

November 4th WW1 Memorial Plaque By Egidio Boninsegna

November 4th is celebrated and commemorated in Italy as the end of World War 1, the day of Armistice at Villa Giusti. Italy lost in WW1 over 500,000 soldiers. This rare bronze plaque was sculpted by one of Milan's most famous sculptures in the early to mid 20th century: Egidio Boninsegna. The memorial plaque depicts an angel carrying to a tomb a half-draped male soldier accompanies by his mourning wife and two children bidding him a final farewell and another man holding the ends of the drape. Both the angel and the fallen soldier show deep, hollowed-out eyes, indicating the suffering and grief caused by the war. The angel is sitting on a slab with the writing Ignoto Militi, the unknown soldier. In the background is a great memorial tomb complete with fluted columns and another frieze of mourning figures. The artist Egidio Boninsegna is best known for the creation of numerous tombs for the Monumental Cemetery and the Musocco Cemetery in Milan. He also sculpted the monument dedicated to the Milanese painter Filippo Carcano in 1915.
This November 4th Italian memorial cast bronze plaque is rare in this excellent condition. It is fastened to a heavy wooden frame.

Aviator Pilot Holding A Propeller Metal Sculpture
An aviator or pilot from the 1930’s-1940’s sculpture made of metal or spelter in excellent condition. The statue shows the airman of the British RAF holding his flying gloves in one hand and a two bladed propeller in the other, wearing his flight suit, cap, goggles and looking up to the sky as if viewing his fellow pilots flying their planes on the way to their next mission or training exercise. This is NOT the same aviator sculpture that has his head hinge back to reveal a removable petrol lighter.
